This one is actually easy. If you are comparing a Ryzen 1600 vs a 7500, there is no comparison, you have to go with the 1600.

Now with a i5 7600k, there is some logical arguments to be made for gaming. But still go with the 1600 and don't look back.

I am not some AMD fanboy either, I have a 7700k and it is a wonderful processor. But the Ryzen chips are very good chips that offer great performance per $$$.


Editing video the Ryzen wins. For gaming there is little between today but as games are starting to utilise more than 4 threads Ryzen looks a better investment. If it was my money I cannot see any scenario where I would pick the i5
