depends on what your budget is, if you are going for a PC that is under $800 i would go for AMD as their CPUs have great 'bang for buck' performance. But if your budget is above $800 i would definitely go with intel.

Your not going to get much of a gaming PC for 500 bucks. Your pretty much going to have to go with a FM2 motherboard and a 760K processor with no upgrade path.
