AMD or INTEL?!?!

What processor should I choose for gaming, video editing, and internet browsing.

Which one should I go with. Please no bias answers (FANBOYS...talking to you ). People tell me to go with i3...but it's only dual core and not quad.

I think AMD is cheaper but gives you worse performance, and Intel is more expensive, but you get better perormance. At least, that's what I think. If you're on a tight budget, I think AMD is the way to go, but if you've got $200 dollars or more for a processor, I don't think AMD has many ways to compete when it comes to performance.

Just not getting into this as it will just end up poorly. so my choice is Neither.

I would go with the Intel. I love my current AMD cpu. But lets face it the second gen Ivy bridge will drop right into that intel 1155 socket and that gives you a " ONE part HUGE upgrade" path for the future. How could you pass that up?

If I were you, I'd save a little bit more money and go with the Intel i5-2400 or i5-2500k. Those are quad cores and they destroy anything AMD has to offer.
