amd or nvidia ?

Hello everybody, recently I started looking for a new graphic card because mine was starting to get a little bit slow for the new games. I have a gtx 560 currently. And I a have two options at the same price, an r9 290 from gigabyte and a gtx 770 from ginwad. Both are which 250$ in my country. So I am asking for help choosing because I love nvidia but amd give more performance for the price

Yeah, i'd go for the 290. I had to make this exact decision only a few days ago. The Phantom is such a lovely looking card, great aftermarket cooler, good little overclock and 7gbps memory, but the 290 just out performs it by a significant amount. Ended up going with the Saphire Tri-X OC 4gb 290, i've heard great things about this and the Vapor-X card alike.

True. If you can push for the GTX 780 though it is a pretty strong card.
