Saint I am using prime95, I cant seem to find what you want. I don't see what different from what I posted, When I press 0 it beeps at me.

The idea is easy.

Exist two tables, 1st one is for OC stable with stability test and the 2nd one is only for OC (don't stable necessary)

1- The rules for OC stable are this:

The stability test can be do it with 2 hours on any of this progmras: Prime95, LinX, OCCT or y-cruncher in stress test mode*

* Launch the program, press 2, enter, 0, enter, x GB (x being nearly how much RAM your system has free according to task manager), and press enter. The program will periodically indicate how much time has been consumed for the testing.

It doesn't need to be in that specific order, but don't post just a screenie, it makes it much slower for me to update, and i don't have enough info to fill in many of the spaces. Thanks in advance

Posts with no verification of stability (screenie) were not added to the list, furthermore, posts a CPUz validation only were added to the 2nd table. If you wish to be added to the list. Follow the above format and post a screenshot verifying stability.

So, I'm pretty new to the overclocking scene. There seems to be a ton of good advice seeping from this thread, so I'm gonna go ahead and post what I have and hope you guys can point me to greener pastures. I'm pretty happy I've found stability with what I've got, but inexperience is sure to be causing roadblocks and bottlenecks. Thanks for whatever feedback you guys come up with!

CPU Voltage: set in BIOS at 1.469, CPU-Z shows 1.464 max V throughout stressing
CPU-NB: Auto
NB Frequency: 2000MHz

RAM: 4GB (2x2) Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 @ 8-8-8-24 2T 1.63V (1.65 MF recommended) 1.63 is highest without going over 1.65 BIOS will allow
Motherboard: MSI 870A-G54
Cooling: Hyper 212+ just the one fan
OS: Windows 7 32-bit

I can look up the ratio and voltages that are auto for you if you need them. I haven't unlocked the fourth core while overclocking. I did have it unlocked and it ran great at 3.0 although I didn't run any stability testing with it unlocked.

I have yet to run Prime. However, I probably have 10 hours of COD:BO at these settings. Not a hitch. Idle temp on the CPU is 30*c. When gaming, goes to 45*c MAX. Mobo temp of 27*c idle, 32*c MAX when gaming.

Any changes recommended before I try Prime? Based on the temps and the current vcore, looks like I have room to try for 4.0-4.1ghz.

I got an error with the vcore at 1.3875. So I bumped it to 1.45, which was just a little under what the AUTO settings kicked the vcore to when I was playing around. 40 minutes of no errors. My only concern.... the vcore bounces around quite a bit.... Any thoughts?

If you want know how much FPS you can get, go to nvidia control panel and turn off V-Sync.

Regarding the Vcore, you need start to test it, slow down the core voltage and test it again.

AMD OD rates the 3.6GHz range higher than the 3.7+GHz range...curious.

Happened to me and I reran prime, I don't want to be a A*& but I followed the rules and reran without complaining.

lol yes as I do know that minute makes a difference with the rules. Besides overclocking is a trial and error basis which in itself takes time as we all know. There is no instant gratification to it.

Well then look at my first post. I edited it a few days ago with the appropriate screenshots. I'm not running anymore stressing. I want to actually enjoy the new speed I'm getting rather than sitting here making my butt sore watching Lucas-Lehmer fill my screen.

Should have the prime shot and 4 cpuid screen open (CPU tab, Mainboard tab, Memory tab, spd tab) and the validation for the cpuid.
