hey, finally decided to upgrade my mobo, been looking at the AMD 64 bit cpus, but I cant seem to find a mobo that supports PCI-X slots for Athlon64 processors. Anyone know of a motherboard that does or of one coming out soon?? I can wait until ones does, but would prefer to get one before xmas.

Actually I don't think you'll find very many boards that will support PCI-X now or in the future. PCIe support is coming to Athlon64 systems late this year or early next.

PCI-X? Are you installing a U320 SCSI RAID card, or a 4 port gigabit ethernet?

We all know you mean PCI EXPRESS. Abit has a via chipset board listed on thier homepage, but there is a race to see which board will ship first.
I'd bet on the Ati chipset being on the first board available, and by the end of this month. Via and nvidia should have boards with thier chipsets available by the end of next month. Sis and Ali are coming as well. Personally, I would prefer if they never came. I still see zero gain from going back to graphics, lan, sound, etc all sharing the same bus.
