AMD Phenom 955/Stock Heatsink 5000RPM Problem

ok so I know its an old processor but it does the job
so when I'm idling its around 5000-5300RPM and its at 50.2C
when gaming I haven't tested but its higher
The fan is so annoying and all AMD Features in BIOS are enabled here is a picture http://imgur.com/AnPQhlg
the motherboard is an M4A78LT-M from ASUS I replaced the heatsink with new paste still like that
I'm planning on buying the Cooler Master Seidon 120V is it a good cooler ?
But I'm still using the stock cooler and its so annoying
Cool'n'Quiet is enabled

Always been the problem with the standard cooler, a budget aircooler will keep it cold and quiet, Cryorig H7 or CM Hyper 212 EVO even CM Hyper TX3.

Is the Cooler Master Seidon 120V Liquid Cooler any good for this Processor ?

If you don't plan to OC some small and cheap aftermarket cooler from any brand could help. But first, you got to make sure your cooler fin is dust free and make a schedule to clean it. I did mine monthly.
That said, in my experience with an X3 455 AMD's stock cooler on AM3 does loud and not quite reliable.

The Seidon is great cooler. Given its nature as water cooling solution, it will provide significant temp control over stock fan. So much so, you can even OC with it. Something that stock cooler can't keep up.

Have you enabled and tweaked the Smart Fan functions in your BIOS ?

Also --- what volts are you running? C3 stepping PhIIs can easily handle lower volts and subsequent fan speeds. Your NB volts can also trigger a run-up.

Most AMD motherboards, regretfully, will over-volt with settings on *Auto* - taking manual control of your voltages and adjusting accordingly can go a long way toward eliminating the problems of which you speak.

Yes I tweaked the settings running 1.392V still no difference its so loud

I run 1.2875v for 3.8GHz with a C3 PhII 965. The mobo (AM2+) over-volts me a touch to a little less than 1.31v. This is with the stock AMD 125w copper base & heatpipe cooler.

Yes . . . approaching 1.4v will likely max the stock fan RPMs. Stock voltage on the PhII quads is 1.325v.
