Hi there...I have an AMD Phenom II X6 2.8GHZ 1055T processor. I used to get 200 FPS constantly in a cpu demanding game. Now I get only 20. I have had the processor for 3 years but I've never touched it, I've never replaced / added more thermal compound/paste.
-Could this be the problem that's making FPS drops? Should I add more thermal compound/paste?
Note: After a month or so of using this computer from new, fps drops began and I went to around 180, then 150, then 120, then 90, then 80...
Anything I can do or is it just fucked?
If I need to buy another, any recommendations?

played on SWTOR as well, and it lags on that. I'm pretty sure it's the processor and not the graphics card as I've changed that a few times and it's not solved a thing.

...I think I'll factory reset / reformat the hard drive as well, as I've had it for 3 years and there must be a lot of shit on here that's probably the main reason for it's slowness I guess. Thanks guys
