Seems the 770 is the better performer they basically go back and fourth on which one is better, right now i think u can get games with the 770 which is always a plus, the reason i got my 7970 over the 770 when i did as i got crysis 3, bioshock infinite, and far cry blood dragon which was a decider over the performance from the 770

The problem is i wanna buy a graphics card r9 280x or gtx 770 but the board asus and gigabyte doesn't support sli. And most of the people told me that gtx 770 better than r9 280x so i'm really lost.

Can you tell me what the best thing for me and can you check this motherboard if it better MSI 990XA-GD55

Thanks

the 280x is a slightly faster rebranded 7970, u can actually crossfire a 7970 and 280x together. the 770 is a slightly faster 680 and the 680 was slightly worse than the 7970 and being nvidia did a bigger change to the 770 than the 280x its faster. U can get a r9 290 for about $400 and its around 290x speed, based off same hawaii gpu chip with some cores disabled. Crossfire is not the best they have been releasing drivers to increase performance, i ran crossfire 6770s but its a lower end card so not too sure how well it performs personally other than the benchmarks.

I didnt realize the 970 boards didnt do sli, but that msi board seems good the vrm design is good for overclocking. I have a msi 890fxa gd65 which sadly resembles the 990x board pretty close other than the color of the logo on the heatsinks and chipset, even the layout and component placement is the same lol for the price in the US it seems to be a good board, not too aesthetically appealing but function is more important when on a budget

man you make so difficult now.
the r9 290 = 300+ pound, the r9 280x=261 pound, the gtx 770= 250 pound.
which graphics card better. What do you think about the ms board MSI 990XA-GD55
http://uk.msi.com/product/mb/990XA-GD55.html#/?div=Deta...

is it better than asus?
it have crossfire and SLI and it;s 990XA chipset.
if you could check the msi board specs is the corssfire and SLI work fine or crossfire better than sli.
Thank you

the 990xa board u linked is a good board and good for the pricing and sli works, should be a good board can overclock and sli/crossfire.

Id go with the R9 290 as it can perform around 780gtx and titan speeds and usually beating the 770 by 8-15+fps matters on the game. At the moment though the stock cooler needs thermal paste replacement, heard amd used too much on the stock cooler and it lessens performance and replacing has good gains from stock or completely replacing the cooler with arctic extreme 3 fan gpu cooler.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/7481/ - read that review and look at benchmarks and some games u play, and determine if the speed of the 290 is worth it or would the cost of the 770 or 280x a better option for u, as in crysis 3 the 290 is only like 5 fps faster than the 770 but is faster than the titan in metro last light

yeah i think the cost might be a problem i only have 310 pound so i can't buy r9 290x. Because I'll buy a board and graphics card the msi board and r9 280x or gtx 770.
so what is tbe best card of those cards
thanks
