Hi! Im thinking of upgrading my cpu (The cpu in the title) to a newer one, My motherboard is a MSI GAMING 970, It can support am3 and am3+ and i was looking at the fx 8350 black edition CPU, It seems like a good and cheap upgrade. Any better cpus then the fx 8350, Under 200w? Thanks!

EDIT: Before anyone says "Upgrade to ryzen or intel" I don't want to upgrade to ryzen since i do not have the money to, In canada prices are insane. And i am a AMD person, I do not like intel. :)

Your 1450T has a passmark rating of 5042 and a single thread rating of 1056.
The 1100T has a rating of 5730 and single thread rating of 1252.

A Phenom II X6 1100T sells for perhaps $90 on ebay.
I would not think that is very worthwhile.

FX-8350 sells for perhaps $50 with 8 threads and a rating of 8948 and a single thread rating of 1509.
I could not find the cpu support list for your motherboard, but I think the fx processors are supported.

Maybe it was only sold to OEMs. It doesn't show up on the CPU support list for the motherboard in the original post, for example. That CPU shows up in very limited web pages. There was ONE sample on the CPU Benchmark website ...

Though i would overclock my chip, I have tried, The chip is stuck at 3.3 ghz, No program or even BIOS overclocking will make it go up or down, Not sure why. Though i could overclock it this CPU would need new ram because my ram i have now is so unbelieveably bad. A upgrade to a fx 8350 so far seems alright.

How "cheap" can you get the 8320 in Canada?

For such a high cost, not really. Maybe if it was like $50 then sure but over $100 is crazy, even in Canada. Save up like another $150 and go newer, performance per core will be much better. Also with 3rd gen Ryzen releasing in 2019 you should be able to find a used Ryzen 1200 and possibly a good motherboard for a decent price. Even new a 2200G/B350/8gb DDR4 cost about $300 in Canada.

If your still considering the FX then look at the 8320, it should be cheaper and will perform close to the 8350.

Commendable
I owned an AMD 1100t as a backup machine overclocked to 4.0. I got rid of it and upgraded that machine to an fx 8320 and overclocked it to 4.5. Trust me it's not worth the upgrade. It was more of a side grade, not an upgrade. Save your money and get a modern system
