Amd Processor model unkown..

I have an error.. where my boards giving my cpu as an amd processor model unkown.. its supported in the list of supported cpu's as well..

Everything in my system is completely working. I just Dont get proper readings for certain things e.g Can you run it. For system requirements and such just cant afford a dead board. Ive flashed 1 or 2 bios's Just cant afford a dead board

You may need to flash the bios for the board to recognize the cpu model number. But if it works, it may not be worth the risk. Sometimes you get a bad flash and a dead motherboard.

flash the bios.

some features won't work on the cpu if you don't update it. and while the previous poster is correct about bricking your mb... it's been decades since that was a common enough issue to worry about. if you do brick it while updating the bios, you can always contact your mb manufacturer about sending you a new bios chip.

that board has a bios flash software u can download to update the bios if u have a cpus that works currently with the board to update it. As long as the pc doesnt shut down then it shouldnt be an issue with bricking. U need bios update P1.20 or higher to use that cpu, and again if u have a cpu that works with that board then u can use cpu-z to see what bios version u currently have
