[citation][nom]lasaldude[/nom]Hopefully it fixed that HDMI TV/monitor off issue where the Sound is disable/not plugged in status.[/citation]
I am so happy to hear someone else has a similar issue. If I had known this would happen I would not have sold my 6850 to my coworker and upgrade to a 7850. So annoying to unplug and plug back in the hdmi cable every time I turn the TV back on.

I have had so many problems with HDMI from my 6950 and my 7770... No sleep mode. Sound messes up, no support for 1920x1200 (even trying to mess with overscan, which hardly works.)

HDMI with AMD is a complete mess... Have to go DVI and a 3.5mm sound cord...

[citation][nom]humphreybot[/nom]the new 12.6 driver is the official driver for hd7xxx cards. and i have used hdmi with my 5770 for years now with nary a single problem[/citation]
Well look at that, it is. Thanks for the call out.

It also happens with Nvidia's GTX 580 it's not only an AMD problem.

Its a driver issue, not a GPU model issue. My HD5450 had the same issue on 12.4 drivers on my HTPC. try the 12.6 (which are supposed to fix it) and if not, I know the 12.3s didn't have the issue.

I don't know if I should criticize AMD's driver software department for lagging behind or complement the hardware design department for outrunning other departments.

[citation][nom]bigman8291[/nom]I nearly punched through my brother's monitor due to this same issue. Thank you for saving my fists AMD.[/citation]

Oops, forgot to include the fact it was the sound issue haha

I have a 7750 I'm trying to use in linux and there's no audio over HDMI option it seems. Can someone confirm if this has been fixed? Thanks!

[citation][nom]CDdude55[/nom]Updated to these simply because i haven't updated my drivers since Rage came out (was running 11.12).[/citation]

Talk about using old, unoptimized drivers.

I think got same problem.

Everytime i install 12.6, I always get an Error Report at the end of installation.

HDMI/DP Audio Driver Installation Fails.
[citation]Driver Install: the specified driver package was not installed for matching devices[/citation]

I tried everything.. Driver Sweeper, uninstalled realtek audio driver and updated Windows 7. It's still like that. I thought it was my GPU.

Never had this problem back in 12.4 and i've tried 12.7 Beta, I never get a problem like that.

It's just the fkn driver.

Since i don't use HDMI port, I think it's ok to me but to others; i think No.

so this has been posted so early, 3 days after i've installed it,
anyway this version has slight improvements,
but 12.7 =has got some reasonable improvements,
would like to get 12.7 in stable form

It get a driver failed error as well with 12.6 on my XFX 6870 Dual D.
It was working fine with version 12.4 except for an occasional black screen lock up while it is running 24/7 with absolutely no load at all!

jer :/

The 12.6 drivers are horrid. I have my comp on a 40 inch tv and the scaling now doesn't stick so I have to reset it every time. Didn't even try a game because that is so annoying. I tried the 12.7 beta and had the same problem. I am running on a 6970 gpu. 12.4 for me until 12.8 I suppose. Next card is gonna be nvidia for me. I'm done with crappy drivers. Sorry AMD.
