Hello all.

This is my first time posting so excuse my possible improper etiquette. Anyways... like I said in the title I have an AMD Radeon HD 8750m graphics card on my Acer Aspire V5-552G-8632. Additional specs include 8 GB of ram and also an AMD Quad Core Processor A8-5557M. I also "upgraded" to a small 64 GB SSD hoping to improve load times. If it matters I have only 2 GB of storage left on my SSD . I have two issues
1. Unfortunately my SSD did not improve load times. Specifically league of legends takes the same amount of time to load. Dragon Nest takes a painfully long time to load for some reason. (people have left my party because of this -_-)

2. Now to my main issue... League of Legends is running at an average of 50 fps on MEDIUM!!! It even drops down to 30 fps during intense fights.

Yes my shadows are all off as well as vertical sync and anti-aliasing. I understand this is not a high end graphics card but League of Legends is not very demanding in terms of graphics. Thank you in advance.

Solution
Your processor has a maximum operating temperature of 105 degrees, so there shouldn't be any problem for it to operate at such a temperature. Try to uninstall and reinstall the graphics card drivers.

Try to reduce graphical quality settings and see if the fps increases.
Small capacity sanddisk based SSDs are usually not that good.
Check the cpu and gpu temperatures while gaming, you can use Speedfan or hwinfo64 for that purpose.

I lowered the settings and FPS did increase but I read on the League of legends forums along with others that this graphics card should easily handle league on ultra. I will get back to you on the GPU and CPU temperatures.

I haven't tried offline games, but my internet speeds should not be a problem. My roommate does not have any issues that I'm having when he games. I experience these issues even when no one is connected to the internet. I will try re installing the graphics drivers right now and I will let you know.

Not as much as using a SSD instead of the HDD for the operating system. Did you install the operating system on the SSD? Do you notice these long loading time when you are playing games offline as well?

Hi,

I have same problem and my laptop is Samsung Series 5 with Radeon HD 8740 bundled with Intel HD 4000. I have a though days way back then cause i cant play with my favorite games, it sucks if my Radeon HD is not activated. After a series of observation and looking for a solution on the internet. I just observed mine is always set to Power Saver mode. If you have same bundle as mine, you can check yours by activating Graphic Properties (Right Click on Desktop then on the Menu). After that click on Power menu just beside the menu list. Once clicked, select PowerPlay sub menu. There you can see what Active Power Plan is currently using, the switchable graphics should be set to Balance, if it set to Power Saving mode, your graphic switch options will be superseded by your power settings.

To change the Active Power Plan from Power Saver to Balance, go to control panel then select on Power Options, salect Balanced instead of Power Saver.

I hope it helps, this solves mine... Happy Playing Guys!
