Question amd radeon overlay doesn't work

When i'm in game and press alt+z or alt+r, i get thrown into my desktop and it opens the overlay there and not in my game

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS.

What game?

Manually download, reinstall, and reconfigure the Radeon drivers.

Other games and apps? Check for any that have "customized" the use of "Alt+Z" and/or "Alt+R".

Look in Reliability History there may be some error code, warning, or even informational event being captured when you press the key combination.
