Greeting. I have a Lenovo G50-70 laptop with an AMD Radeon R5 M230 GPU along with integrated Intel HD 4400. However, when I enable the AMD Radeon driver it keeps crashing. Ive rolled back to the previous driver and it still crashes. Used both drivers from WU and the Lenovo site but still no improvements.

Another thing is that whenever i install the amd software, at the moment it starts installing the driver (at about 40% install done) It freezes and shows a BSOD which is usually Driver Timeout error, video memory management internal. Would share the minidump as soon as someone replies. Below are my specs.

Laptop: Lenovo G50-70
Ram: 6GB
OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel i7 4510U
GPU: Amd Radeon R5 M230/ AMD Radeon HD 8500M (after new update)

some other things to check:

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

clean boot

check the memory by running memtest.org usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

check the hard drive for errors with its manufacturer´s tool and if available, update the firmware

use ddu uninstaller and reinstall the latest graphics driver

replacing the cmos battery on this laptop is a bit difficult, soldering involved

but like lexed already said, most likely the GPU is dying/dead.

reflow soldering the GPU BGA could work
