AMD Radeon RX 470 Reference vs Custom

I'm going to buy the Radeon RX 470, and I was wondering, should I try to buy it on the day of release (August 4th) or wait for custom models to come out from MSI or Asus, etc?

Go custom even if it costs more as you will be getting a higher quality of card with better overall lower temps vs the noisy reference model. Lower vrm temps is a huge bonus as the card has a much better chance of lasting long enough to be replaced by upgrading rather than failure.

A few weeks but just be ready to snipe on Newegg or Amazon as they will sell out quickly as usual. I love custom hardware especially limited edition stuff 😉
