Don't get me wrong.. I do not want you to leave as you show all the THG members exactly what is wrong with extremism and fanboyism. In other words you're like a don't do drugs commercial, you know.. the one that shows everyone what one's brain would look like on drugs by frying an egg in a frying pan.

It doesn't seem to affect my ability to write C# code so......

wow they should have a lick your tongue out emoticon.

Its in the "View more Emoticons," link, right under the group of them.

Ahem.

Oh yes the so-called madz C code skills you have yet won't demonstrate therefore are assuming we're going to take your word for it?

C#

I know now we'll say I stole someone's code, but it will just further illustrate your desperation and foolishness.

Maybe I should ask for your order sheets and monthly turnover.

It checks out okay and it doesn't come up in any C# source code archives. Point to Baron.

Now can we end this BS about proving what you or anyone else here does for a living? It has nothing to do with AMD's Q3 profit reports.

Cool, I have a new saying.

Ditto....

AMD dropped another 0.90 today, thats 4.12 in two days, which Baron thinks is good. :)

I don't think that's good but goes to the fact that whenever AMD makes strides the Stock Market dumps on them and when they are just selling (like when they hit 42) they up the stock.

I think longterm investors are fine since AMD has been around since 1969. 65nm will cut costs and Barcelona will up the ante. 5 months to benchmarks is the drop of a hat.

I really want to see the BullDozer which is for the first time scheduled ahead of server.

Those are your madz programming skills? I learned basic C like that in College..lol. That's like a newbie project.

I meant show the madz skills you keep bragging about and all these new inventions in C you keep saying you are told never existed before.

EDIt: ahh you removed it all.

For both sides, let it go. Just let it go.

I don't think anyone is claiming AMD will go bankrupt. What they're saying is that you seemed to predict Intel's doom when the stock market barely moved on Intel and reacted VERY negatively on AMD's Quarterly report.

Should I really have posted 20,000 lines of code with screenshots?

Honestly, Baron I don't think the problem was the bottom line, it was the top line and margins that scared the investors. The ASPs were dragged down by the price war and Hector did not really give a good plan on how they were going to recover the lost margin.

I am speculating here, but the market community does not buy or sell on the report as much as they look for how that fits into the trend.... take that, together with Intel stating a bottoming out and I think they are getting nervous.

Intel's Q3 was not particularly good, but it was not horridly bad either as they exceeded and guided to within normal seasonal norms. The fear, I believe is that Intel's aggressive pricing and the product refresh may stagnate AMD's cash flow, which is not good considering they are in a take-over bid, trying to re-invest capital for expansion, and planning 2008 45 nm development.

This is what I mean by Hector's answer did not inspire confidence. If he points to two simple socket transistions as taxing the company, what is a take over, another new fab, and stiff competition as C2D increases it's visibility in the market going to do. AMD will have a tough 2007. If they can hold the cash flow, keep on schedule for expansion then that is the final big hurdle (in my opinion) to long term sustained health.

A good executive doesn't try to push hearts and flowers, but at the same doesn't want to rain on any parades. It's a fine line. Wall street could see what was happening and AMD is in a good position in terms of growth.

Teh mor ehe price war wears on the lower BOTH COMAPNY'S asp will go which directly correlates to gross margin. Intel gross margin dropped 10% with growth based more on world wide growth rather than OEM confidence.

AMD has been historically higher stock price wise for the last few years, but the words of a few analysts who haven't dealt intimately with technology has a negative effect on stock price but I see a resurgence around Q2 of next year.

Hopefully AMD will take the hint and make more 3600+/3800+ and Turion X2 since the volume that will represent will override the lower asp. That has been Intel's secret with Dell.

By creating a slightly different mix - 4200+ and up go 65nm (I would go 65nm FX), they can get a cost benefit until Barcelona variants release. It already looks like Turion is gone along with 939 (in terms of stock) and 65nm can belong to AM2 as of Q107.

You have to admit that paranoia reigned undeservedly with this selloff.

I don't think anyone is claiming AMD will go bankrupt. What they're saying is that you seemed to predict Intel's doom when the stock market barely moved on Intel and reacted VERY negatively on AMD's Quarterly report.

But dont you find it interesting that using Sharikous logic, this must somehow be further proof that Intel is going bankrupt?

Shakirou nLogic® states that:

1. Conroe is too good for a company as morally bankrupt as Intel and therefore in order for Intel's karma to equalize, Intel must lose massive amounts of money.

2. Because Intel is selling the Netburst chips for under $100, this is a sign of their impending doom.

3. Kentsfield is coming out too early and thus will hurt and bankrupt Intel.

4. Intel kills kittens.

5. Intel pays off companies and sites to make the AMD test rigs crippled in order to make the inferior Conroe perform better to the AMD chips.
*note that this is in direct conflict with Law 1 but such is the case with Shakirou nLogic®.

6. The Inq is holier and more righteous and truthful than the Bible, Qu'ran, the Vedas and the To'rah combined.

6. An object at rest still moves.

7. Once Intel is bankrupt, AMD will aquire all of Intels former workers and take over Intels 70% market share immediately. As in within the hour.

8. Salt is sweeter than sugar.

This has been a brief (thank God) lesson in Shakirou nLogic®.

Disclaimer: This is not meant to insult anyone but Shakirou. If you are insulted by this, you are either a idiot or need to toughen up. Now sod off.

Very Nice. 😀

I specially like the Intel Kills Kittens.

With that I'm going to go pwn the morons in the Vista section who for the love of God, can't seem to understand that Vista is still in BETA.

And then hit the sack...

You may wanna flip on the sundance channel (if you have access)before you hit the rack. Whats playing now falls under the catagory of "Now Ive seen everything" A german lesbian vampire movie complete with subtitles...... It may soften your blows over in the Vista section

[watching]....What. The. F^ck. [/amazed]

I've got no witty remarks for this situation......

Dude. I have ooodles of respect for the germans, but this is just.......out there. They need to stick to engineering and leave the lesbian vampire movies to the Italians.

It is interesting to note this movies stands as evidence that the 70s were as stylistically bankrupt in Gemany as they were in the US

I have never said Intel would BK. I KNOW THEY WON'T. Price wars lower profits and the bleeding will continue.

Baron.......Please note: I did not say you did. I didnt even mention you. I didnt even imply you. I said Sharikou. He is the only person I know of who could possibly twist a drop in AMDs stock prices to a defeat for Intel.

You do realize there are other horde members besides you?

Margins will suffer on both sides, there is no doubt.... and what is painfully obvious to both is that it will never go back to being the same. The market has not gotten a taste of what happens when they position two players against themselves --- AMD provided this 'leverage' with K8 (to their credit), but the days of 58-62% GPM are lost, I am not sure either company will reach those and sustain it.

Jack

That's my point. Intel's margin dropped 10% to AMDs 5% but AMD was punished. AMD ran in the red for so long they are color-blind. 😛

They have built a solid infrastructure with AMD64 and the enthusiast level. Core 2 doesn't diminish that. AMD has already presented a "new" architecture that is "guaranteed" to get at least 40% just by adding two cores and that's without the core enhancements.

I guess they should be used to it by now. Hector, Dirk and Henri seem to make a good team. You can't complain that your competitor dropped the bottom out of the dektop market at the CC.

AMD is sorry investors. Times should be brighter in Q207.

They better hope for more than that. A 40% increase for adding 2 cores is not what I would descibe as heartening
