I am planning on building my first gaming PC and after a lot of research and playing around with different parts and combinations I have landed on the following build.

-CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz
-MOBO: MSI B350M Pro-M2
-GPU: MSI Gtx 1070
- RAM: Corsair Vengance LPX 16gb ram 2400MHz
-PSU: EVGA supernova 650, 80+ Gold.

My main concern is that from what I've read the cpu I chose performs significantly better with a ram of 3000+ MHz. My question is how noticeable will the difference be and would it be better to invest in a more adequate ram or it can be solved simply by OC it. Also any other suggestions for my build will be extremely helpful as it is my first build and there's so much to learn. Thanks.

For the Ryzen 2xxx, it is better to pick faster RAM e.g. those with 3200MHz ability. Going for lower latency (lower CL) is also good, as long as you do not have to pay a lot more extra.

Picking B450 or X470 is also wise, so you do not have to worry about BIOS compatibility issues.
You should go with a B450 motherboard for out-of-the-box compatibility with 2nd-gen Ryzen.
Some RAM overclocks more than others. You shouldn't really rely on overclocking it when purchasing, but if you were going to you should get lower latency RAM such as the Vengeance LPX 2400 C14. I have those in 2x8GB and they will OC to 3200 C16 1.35V.

Yeah thats the main reason I went with the MOBO so I wouldn't have to deal with any compability issues. And thank you for your advice regarding the ram. Looking at rams again, would it be better to buy a memory with a speed of 3200MHz and higher latency of CL 16, or getting a slower 3000MHz memory with CL15. Thanks again
