Question Amd ryzen 5 2600 oc temps

I overclocked the cpu on stock cooler from 3.40 ghz to 3.80 ghz and i tested it on cinebench r20. The max temps it reached was 94.5 c with 1.319v and now i have average 51.4-49.5 c on 1.308 v. The 94.5 c was a full streched for the test right? Is it normal to get so high though? Also my idle temps are on 34-35 c 1.312 v i guess this is normal and after that average 44c. But my main question is the 94.5 c on cinebench, also i will test it on some games to see the temps of cpu.

Way too high. You dont want to go over 89-85c with a 2600.

You will not be able to overclock much on the 2600s stock cooler, so going aftermarket is nessisary if you want to overclock.

For reference, my 2600 @ stock with an arctic freezer 34 runs around 55c under a prime 95 load.

Overclocked to 4.1ghz @ 1.365v it runs in the low 70s in prime 95.

it reached 94.5 c when it ran cinebenench test not in regular use. i tested on some games and it went max 63 c.

94 degrees is expected when you are overclocking with the stock cooler. Mine 2600 count even run cinebench on stock cooler while 3800mhz (and ive also changed the thermal paste). Buy a cooler, at least a be quiet pure rock slim (coolermaster 212 evo recommented). Make sure you have plenty airflow in your case. Enjoy your 4Ghz 2600

Doesnt really matter. Its not thermally sound. Play a cpu demanding game and you will get close to the cinebench run temps.

Run prime 95 and you will be straight to throttling.

So should i go back to the stock ghz and volts for now until i get an aftermarket cooler??Just for safety and try again later for overclocks??
