the 2600X can be OC higher (4.2) than non 'X' (3.9) - both can be pushed a bit higher but you need to know your system (no matter which one you gonna choose, stay a bit under max boost - around a 100 less than max - and have a god one ;-)

other than that:

- 2600 has lover TDP (65) than 'X' (95) and that means that non 'X' generates less heat which is always a good thing but each and every good fan can easy handle 95 (even the one that comes with 'X' - but for OC/max speed I would buy something else...like a good aftermarked cooler)

- as you can see, base clock (if you not gonna OC) is 200Hz lower on non 'X' which is not that much but nonetheless more is more and in this and in many other cases 'more' is better
