USB 4 and Thunderbolt when?
Thunderbolt requires a DisplayPort signal, considering it's part of the standard feature list. So for a CPU to support it, it has to have an integrated GPU. Otherwise it should be on a separate chip that can take in a DisplayPort signal from some output.

In other words, I don't think you can call a Thunderbolt port a Thunderbolt port if it doesn't supply DisplayPort along with PCIe.

OH nice..... I am glad I stick with 3600 because I feel 5000 series was too expensive. Now, I can wait till 2022. I do like the CPU with the 3D V-cache and would pay a premium for it.

Figures they'd announce the day after I buy a 5600X, LOL.

From the info I collected online, the V-cache will be only in 16 core model and slight chance in 12 core.
its expensive, so adding extra 100-150 on top of the already high price is fine, people that can afford 900$ CPU will find money to buy 1100$.
But for lower end models, 100$ is life changing

Basically V-Cached 5950x will be their answer to 12900K which based on leaked benchmarks is faster.
Also whats interesting is that big.little tech [on ARM] works by isolating cores from each other, on high load the little cores are not helping the big ones, so if the 12900K ES leaked benchmarks are true and Intel Big Little is like arms, then their 8/16 cores is faster then 16/32 from AMD

Not exactly a huge difference. The 3700x and 3600 were nearly equal.
