I would get the Ryzen, however just get the Ryzen 3700x as the 3800X costs too much for the few % more power you get from it .

For gaming the performance is pretty much identical between the 9700K and 3700X but with Ryzen you get double the threads which will be more helpful for tasks like streaming, video editing etc. Also Ryzen mobos tend to be cheaper.

With Ryzen just be sure to get dual channel memory kit of 3200mhz or faster.

For the 86th time, PICK A PROCESSOR AND MOTHERBOARD FIRST, and then select ram from the QVL for the motherboard you select.

Do not just buy ram, it may not work at full speed.

What he said.
Oh sry forgot to mention. Yea my motherboard is Asus ROG Strix X470-F and Processor is AMD Ryzen 7 3700k. Idk where to check their QVL tho...

3700X is a pretty good deal these days...especially if you can catch it on sale...

If you have the $200-$250 extra to torch, then 9900K is still "The One", vis-a-vis, gaming... (the 9900KS is too silly priced and often the 9900K can hit nearly the same clocks anyway)
