All of these leaks are just marketing from AMD because they never leak gaming benchmarks. Slow drip somewhat relevant performance numbers but save the ones everyone wants for launch day.
 
Yeap, that's why it's crazy to me why they retain the r7 moniker. What's wrong with using R3 for the 6core parts and R7 for the 8 core parts. I would be less negative have they done that.
R3 for the 6 core, R5 for the 8 core, R7 for the 12 core, and R9 for the 16 core would make the most sense to me personally, but I agree with you. That would make the most sense if they were naming their product stack purely on MT performance.
