AMD Ryzen Chips

My friend told me not to get a Ryzen chip because AMD chips tend burn out faster than Intel chips. I wanted to know if that is really true and if i should get a Intel i5 or a Ryzen 5 1600. This computer is going to be for streaming/ recording if that helps out at all.

Simply not true, for your purpose and assume tight budget, Ryzen 1600 is better. You just need to stay in the safe temperature and nothing is burning out, not to mention Ryzen tends to run cooler.
