AMD s1g4 socket - laptop CPU upgrade recommendations

Hi all!

So I have this really old laptop Dell Inspiron M5010 that I haven't used in years and since I really only need this laptop for the kitchen while I cook I decided to upgrade it.

Short summary:
1) It was overheating to the point of shutting down itself - cleaned up, reapplied CPU thermal paste - now runs super smooth (heat wise)
2) I upgraded it to 8gb ram, but then realised its CPU was at 100% load while on twitch and had slight stutter (same with youtube).

Question: the CPU is a V Series V140 (I know lol) - s1g4 socket. I'm looking to upgrade it and I'm using this link as a reference point http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/AMD/V_Series_for_Notebook_PCs/V140.html
1) What is the effect of the steppings for me? I know they are versions or something but I'm asking will this have any real life impact on my setup and/or incompatibility to any possible hardware, provided I am not interested in overclocking.
2) What wattage do i need here? considering it was overheating before, should i stick to another 25W one (possibly 35W?) or is it the other way around - i.e. 45W produces more power equating to more performance and thus lower running temp?

As I said i only need this for Youtube, Twitch and Plex, and right now my CPU is bottlenecking me. I realise if i run something heavy 45W will produce more heat but if I'm running low performance apps will 45W be "cooler" and more "silent"?

Thank you all!

1. Find a better cpu and replace it.
2. Clean your pc and replace thermal paste.
2. If it is still slow, just buy new one.

Thank you karlis.vorslavs11 for your reply!
I AM trying to find a better CPU - this is what the thread is about - see questions 1) and 2)
I have already cleaned my laptop* (not pc) and replaced the thermal paste - I indicated it now runs smooth as butter heat wise.
"Just buy a new one" is really no help at all. To anything.

Thanks for spending the time to reply though!
However, I am still looking for some professional input regarding my 2 questions about the steppings and wattage.
:)

1. I REALLY think you need a more powerful pc for Twitch
2. Your RAM size could be a bottleneck. Reduce it to 6 gigs.

List of CPU's that WILL FIT in your Laptop
AMD Athlon II Dual-Core Mobile P320, 2.1 GHz, Dual-Core, 25W
AMD Phenom II Quad-Core Mobile x920, 2.3 GHz, Quad-Core, 45W

I tried to be polite and point you either toward answering my asked questions or leave the thread. I have downvoted both your comments. I had clear questions about Steppings and TDP of the CPU that you never addressed yet acted as if coming from a superior standpoint (very rude).

To all the rest: I decided to go with a P340 of the same TDP and Stepping version DA-C3. It's relative processing power to my V140 was 176%. Double the cores and therefore cache, same frequencies. I cannot express how much better everything is, there is no input lag anywhere nor output on Twitch even on 720p. (GPU doesnt really matter here).

Same TDP and frequency mean safe upgrade and i got this chip for literally about 8 euro. That combined with the 10ish euro upgrade of my ram, made this 2010 laptop that struggled to run Win7 even with no programs running to a really smooth laptop experience.

TL;DR - picking an old AND lower end (relative to its time) laptop and then upgrading it can be really cost efficient if youre looking for secondary/tertiary computer for video or perhaps as a box connected to a TV.

Have a great day everyone!

I am sorry. My English is really bad, so I just didnt understand what did you try to ask. I am 13 yr old. Anyway I am really sorry I didnt wanted to be rude.
