I wonder if the GPU on die will be able to parallel compute. It'd probably be able to make a badass super computer.

[citation][nom]otacon72[/nom]Probably right, by the time this stuff from AMD comes out intel will have moved on to something else leaving AMD behind again.[/citation]
If Intel wants to succeed at SOC they must first come up with a decent GPU. Since all GPUs they have are BS they are at a disadvantage.

[citation][nom]schmich[/nom]As many sites state it's sad how AMD keep tweaking their benchmarking previews. This time with anything from bad drivers on the Intel laptop to making the competition render harder things. On one video I saw the Intel laptop render a completely different area of the map. On another they spin the Intel 360degrees and mention the FPS at its lowest points whilst only showing the AMD in one specific direction.Zacate is a nice chip so why do they do this lowly thing, that's more big Intel's job of not being fair and square.[/citation]
Actually they didn't tweaked anything. They were using the latest driver provided by the laptop manufacturer. Also the drivers provided by intel failed to install on the laptop. If they had anything to hide they wouldn't allowed Anandtech to manually install the new drivers and test the systems more thoroughly.

[citation][nom]kelemvor4[/nom]Wait, what? AMD's new baby can't even compete with current generation intel i7? Not good.[/citation]
This processor wasn't made to compete with the i7.

Although it can probably beat the hell out of it in some benchmarks using openCL 😉

I also read the same article. Intel will more than likely have to spend tons to redo their graphics R&D department, or maybe even buy out the wanning Nividea Corp. Sandy Bridge will not be Direct X 11 capable, as of the the news releases right now. So AMD will have the first chance to get their Direct X 11 Fushion Chips out. Also remember that Apple has recently added ATI Chips to their laptops...Let's see if they can work some magic with this chip. Imagine an Ipad with Zacate, or even an I phone or I pod Touch. Competition is good. Uncle Monopoly would all have us as unquestioning slaves without Competition.
