[citation][nom]fyasko[/nom]at least we know AMD is still alive. the rumor mill has been on fire with AMD lagging on BD and all of the execs. jumping ship[/citation]
whatever happens, atleast AMD Radeon will survive.

"leverage changes in the business environment in terms of cost."
Doesn't that sound somewhat ominous? Or are they just looking to bail out of a high cost area into a 'low rent district'?
They must be getting a sweet deal - at the tax payers expense of course.

What you noobs don't understand is AMD doesn't need to be #1 in cpu's to be succesfull. They have always been #2 and fine with that.

I'd rather see Bulldozer delayed, than released early and broken like Sandy Bridge.

Do people realize that the most profitable sector isn't in enthusiast parts but in mainstream / low-power systems? The OEM's have been buying AMD CPU's like mad since Intel got their nuts stomp in court. Intel can't retaliate against OEM's going with AMD products anymore, that was their biggest advantage. Plus Intel doesn't make money on their CPU's they made their money by forcing the OEM's to pair up their CPU's with Intel chipsets and Intel *approve* everything. Not anymore.

I'm nitpicking here, but when it says "Georgia" the first I think of is the tiny nation in the Caucasus. Perhaps Tom's can see a bit more globally and use proper names, such as "Georgia, USA" instead.

[citation][nom]g00fysmiley[/nom]cause when i think technology... i think GA >_< could be worse, i guess it could be alabama[/citation]

Georgia Tech is ranked 7th in the world --- in the "Global Gaming League Rankings"

:)

And though I would have preferred a location at the RTP in North Carolina, I suspect Atlanta has as much OC192-768 action going on as anyone.
