Strange, so far I didn’t see AMD be anti-competitive, anti-technology and anti-consumer or in other words, extremely corrupt. This news here is meaningless to consumers.

IMO, AMD looks like a patent troll here. 4/5 patents are more than 10 years old and they are going after companies that they don't compete with.

Companies are forced to go after patent infringements because otherwise they create precedence of not caring about their patents and then it's game over for them. (It becomes extremely hard to claim their patent rights)

If AMD is actually producing products their patents cover, then I'd argue they're not a patent troll. Companies that are generally regarded as patent trolls typically buy up patents and sit on them. They don't actually produce any products based on said patent.

Well AMD has shown that they do have the will to sue people and throw their weight around when they can . Fans imagining that they are somehow different from other corporations are just deluding themselves.

Oh they've had examples of being the same as any other corpo plenty of times before, even within the past few years.

Publicly traded companies are not your friend... unless you happen to be a major stakeholder.
