Hi,
I recently bought a new computer
I installed Oracle VirtualBox and tried to start a VirtualMachine but ran into the following error:

AMD-V is disabled in the BIOS (or by the host OS) (VERR_SVM_DISABLED).

Result Code:
E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component:
ConsoleWrap
Interface:
IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

I though that this problem would be solved by going to the BIOS and enabling Virtualization.
But when I went to the BIOS, I could not find the Virtualization option.

Please Help !!!

Hello good night, I have a similar problem, when trying to virtualize.
I have an ecs motherboard a320am4-m3d but when using vmware to virtualize linux, it sends me an error message saying that I am not enabled amd-v. Could you help me, my motherboard is an ecs a320am4-m3d with an AMD A10 processor, thanks.
What motherboard? Mobo manufacturers tend to have there own names for virtualization. I see VT-d or VT a lot. This info should be in your mobo's manual.

Every motherboard I have owned had virtualization disabled by default, so that is pretty normal. It should work when enabled.

That doesn't tell me what motherboard you have, that is a pre built tower model which of course does not list what mobo it uses in the specs. Either open up your case and look at the mobo, the model should be written on it. Or download CPU-Z and go to the motherboard tab.
