AMD V140 CPU Upgrade

Hi, I have a C655D-S5089. I was wondering if I could upgrade the AMD V140 to a Phenom II P960 processor. It is the same socket and consumes 25W of power just like the V140.

Is there a chance I can't upgrade it?

I can find the Phenom II P960 on Ebay for around $20.

Should work fine. I haven't personally upgraded one but I've upgraded an HP dv6 (IIRC) from one dual-core socket S1G2 Turion to a better one, and other than running hotter it's been doing great. You should be fine in terms of heat due to the lower clock speed of the Phenom, so if it's something you want to do go for it!
