I don't know why ojas post is being thumbed down. He is for the most part correct from what I have seen also and I say this as a customer who has bought every BF game since BF:1942. I'm a complete fanboy. Same game engine + more implementation of eye candies. I will get it either way... just saying... Why the thumbs down over there?

These so called "new" consoles do nothing but kill all the PC market..... Seriously think about it - if it wasn't for consoles we would've had better games and faster PC's right now, just like it was a decade ago. People must avoid consoles at any cost and buy new computers, otherwise we won't see any decent games for the next 6-8 years until the "new" generation will come out and will be no faster than my current 6950...

And please AMD - avoid EA at any costs, the company has gone down the drain and has no future, they've managed to ruin every game I used to enjoy playing...

 Don't worry. It's a hardware site, graphics seems to be more important than game-play here.

I mean on the Titan LE thread people are arguing that Nvidia's Titan isn't overpriced because it's sold out, and that if it could have been more expensive, and i should be thankful to Nvidia that its not.

On the other hand, they regularly complain about AMD needing to get competitive so that Nvidia and Intel don't charge $1000+ for CPUs and GPUs.

The news section and comments on the news section on this site has gone a bit bonkers.

Faced with the strongest console generation yet, one which appears to be competitive with lower-mid tier PCs, people are saying that this console generation will stifle PC games further.

For christ's sake, if all the industry is going to produce is SHOOTYBANG 4, i'm sorry, consoles aren't going to do much to stop anything.

Heck they couldn't even launch AoE2HD properly.

Why do video games need Direct x or OpenGL anyway? Why can't they access the video card driver directly to render the environment? Have any game done this in Windows?
