AMD vs. Nvidia for Game Dev

Is one of these brands better for game development than the other? what benefits does one provide over the other, and are they noticeable/necessary? Card would be primarily for use with Unreal Engine4/Unity, would be appreciated if you could also recommend a good card that isn't too pricey.

I know the minimum requirements, but what im asking is if one card has some sort of technology that makes it better than the other with regards to 3D and video rendering.
