[SOLVED] AMD Wraith Prism RGB LED CPU Heatsink Cooler question

Solution
Thanks for the reply. I've just checked the MB box and found two small black plastic brackets with screw holes in them. Will I need these? I'm not sure about a plastic arm because a friend fitted the CPU for me.

You need the 2 plastic brackets and the 4 screws that used to hold them in place.

When you are in doubt about any pc component the best and first thing you should do is check the manufacturer page: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/cpu-7 (scroll down to the proper part of the instructions).

That cpu uses the little arm to grab on to the plastic brackets that came with the motherboard. when you installed the stock cooler originally, you needed to take them off.

Btw, this cooler is literally made by AMD for that platform.
