Hello,
I play games like BF4 and my cards (XFX 7870tahiti CF with XFX 7950). Normally with one I would get about 90-99% usage but now in CF I get 30-50% usage on each. I do see a performance increase about 50-60 fps on Ultra 200% resoultion scale @1080p (It used to be unplayable at >30fps). But I hope to increase this and run the game better. I also see this on other games too. Is this normal and how can I fix it.
Thanks!

There are three options:

1. The cards are overheating.

2. Your CPU is not strong enough.

3. You're running out of VRAM since the resolution scale option makes the card render the image in a higher resolution (=higher VRAM usage).

So: What's your CPU? Download MSI Afterburner (or something like it) to monitor your temps and VRAM usage.

I would suggest perhaps the cards are throttling due to heat

My CPU is a stock AMD FX 8320 (that should be good enough). and the temps. are low (60-70c) since it's low usage.
Thanks for the reply

What about the VRAM usage while gaming?

Since they are running on low usage the amount of heat is very low only 60-70c.
Thanks for the reply

Just as an update, I saw on YouTube that if you write in GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8 it will let you run the game faster. This seemed to work on only one card but now I'm not sure because that may be the problem for BF4. I doubt this because I get the same results on other games, so most likely this is not the root issue.
