I have a new Biostar A780L3L MoBo with a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot. I read Tom's Video Card selection article in Dec. 2011. I would like to get a Video Card, probably Radeon 5000 or 6000 series which I understand will work in the older slot if I get a BIOS upgrade. No problem. The article says to go 3 tiers above when upgrading. I can't figure out what a A780L3L [760G] relates to in Radeon speak. Can anyone clear my confusion please ? TKS

760G Chipset have Radeon HD 3000 integrated in them. It's probably equal to an Intel GMA X3500, Radeon 2400 or Geforce 8200. If you want an upgrade you can go with a radeon 6xxx cards based on the budget. Or you can wait for the new radeon 7xxx which is probably going to be released on the Q1-Q2 2012. It will give you better price/performance ratio.
