Spoiler!!

Hmm. I wrote that in jest, but come to think of it with the remakes people could well play FF7 for the first time, so we probably should start avoiding spoilers.

Too late for me, I never got far in original 😅 and was literally about to try it on Steam Deck too

Apparently it was a design made for valve, but other systems with RDNA2 emerged in 2022

...Are you sure? 🤔 The rumors and leaks about a Van Gogh/Aerith Style chip were around for a while. Including ones for 'Rembrandt' & 'Dragon Crest'.

It's possible Valve approached AMD for a nextgen XSX-Style Chip but that released a bit late in the day too.
I'm trying to work out if DP4A (With native hardware fp/int8 Support, as opposed to Mixed Packed Math) is implemented on Steamdeck.

XeSS apparently wouldn't be compatible with the early Aerith RDNA2 chips chosen for PS5 for that reason, Intel even doubted RDNA2 GPU's as a whole after the confusion with multiple GFX versions :/
