There's a heavy caveat in the "retailers" grouping mentioned in the article (borderline disengenious). Amazon is working there as a "re-seller" and not a "retailer", since most of those listings are 3rd parties which are just importing it for you. Even more, I just tried to look for the 7900GRE in Amazon.co.uk and nothing.

Not sure about the German or other EU ones, but I can't find any GREs in stock in proper UK retailers either.

May want to double check the information before hand?

EDIT: I stand corrected, as I managed to find it in Amazon.co.uk and it is sold by Amazon itself:
