Question Amount of data written to my SSD is increasing so fast ?

Google Chrome is doing some massive writes.
Do you have some chrome plugin installed, that would cause this?
I'd relocate Chrome user profile to a mechanical drive instead.

If you close chrome, are there still massive writes going on in Resource Monitor?

i have some extensions wouldnt it be slow tho if i move user profile to hdd and how do i do that

Total Host Writes - 63TB.
The warranty life on that 1TB MX500 is 360TB. So, at this rate, another 5-6 years? The warranty time limit will end before that.

It is exceedingly rare for a regular consumer to wear out the write cycles on a drive, and cause it to actually "die".

Im kinda clueless about this. If you say its rare for someone to cause it to die with this im fine with it but if its gonna cause problems i can move my browser out of my ssd. but if its just chrome doing it and if its not gonna kill my drive im totally fine with it. I thought something was doing something lot bigger.

It seems to be your use. Constant utube videos, maybe.

But even consumer grade drives will live, wtr to write cycles, long part the warranty number.

As always, though...backup backup backup.

A physical drive can die at any time.
For whatever reason.

Too many write cycles is far down the list of 'why'.

Prepare for this.

Move to where? A spinning hard drive? And kill the system performance.

1. Create a partition on a mechanical drive with sufficient size. 2GB partition should be enough.
2. Close Chrome.
3. Move contents of C:\Users\Gokhan\AppData\Local\Chrome\User Data\ to the newly created partition
4. C:\Users\Gokhan\AppData\Local\Chrome\User Data\ - should be empty after this.
5. Mount partition to empty NFS folder. This can be done in Disk Management.
6. Launch Chrome and check if it is working properly.

and my userdata is 55gb for somereason so 2gb is definitely not enough
