[citation][nom]JamesSneed[/nom]Maybe you can toss the cd and phone in a blender, that should get the CD in the phone?[/citation]

But Will it BLEND! ?

> implying phones are not computers

Come on author, you can do better than that.

Is that the new BSOD? (Black Screen of Death)

Insert disk #22 and press button to continue. Just like in Monkey Island.

lol, classic! :)

On a more serious note though, as it's built on Windows for desktop, potentially utililising the same kernel, it makes you wonder about bloat and memory utilisation of the OS on the phone?

I hope Microsoft were really able to completely strip down the OS, so like a micro-kernel, but if it runs on an Intel/x86 cpu, it makes you wonder...

... Windows Phone doesn't run on x86. On the other hand, there are Android phones running on Intel chips.

This isn't an actual error. I wish whoever was posting these "news" articles to TH knew the difference between fact and fiction.

The error is real, but it was confirmed as a fail attempt to hack the firmware, that proves 2 good things: WP8 is hard to hack and the phone is based on NT kernel.

This isn't really all that funny, it was basically a setup that is almost guaranteed to elicit this error (READ the article).

If it would have been a stocker then it would be different.
