On a more serious note though, as it's built on Windows for desktop, potentially utililising the same kernel, it makes you wonder about bloat and memory utilisation of the OS on the phone?
I hope Microsoft were really able to completely strip down the OS, so like a micro-kernel, but if it runs on an Intel/x86 cpu, it makes you wonder...

... Windows Phone doesn't run on x86. On the other hand, there are Android phones running on Intel chips.
The error is real, but it was confirmed as a fail attempt to hack the firmware, that proves 2 good things: WP8 is hard to hack and the phone is based on NT kernel.
