Hello everyone!

So yesterday i tried to install Windows Vista on my old PC. In the partition select menu I kept getting an error:
Windows cannot find a system volume that meets proper criteria

So I tried to format the whole disk through CMD with the following command:
format FS=NTFS Label="Vismis"

And I left it overnight as it was taking a lot of time. The next day it was done, and I tried to select the disk again. But I got an error that said something like: There's no bootable CD/USB or something. So I tried to restart the installation but the USB seemed to be empty, so I "installed" Windows Vista in it again, but while launching the USB to boot the computer gives me this now:
0xc0000225
An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.

So I tried to redo the Windows Vista "installation" to the USB but it showed the same. Then I tried to "install" Windows 7 but it shows the same.

How can I fix it?

How exactly as you "installing" Vista to a USB? You'll need to create a bootable USB of the ISO using one of the various, freely available programs. Rufus is my favourite personally. https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Did you create your own ISO from a disk you had? Or did you download it online? If you downloaded it, was it a legit source (ie Microsoft), torrent etc...

It may be down to the ISO itself, the method you're using to create your USB..... or potentially the age of the motherboard (if it can only boot from a disk, not a USB).

I created it by running a command on CMD ( bootsect /nt60 F: ) And then dropping ISO files inside the USB. And it worked the first time.
I downloaded windows through torrents
