Hi
I've got a newbie question about the AN7..why, when I overclock my 2500+
does this motherboard simply report at POST the cpu in Mhz and not what the
XP rating is (eg 3200+)

AFAIK You will always get the rating in mhz when you use a manual selection
to alter either, or both, the FSB and multiplier of the CPU rather than
leave it as auto detect.
