I installed a NVIDIA Gt1030 graphics card on to my ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USBR motherboard. After installation the video appears to work as expected. The audio comes through on the HDMI cable as expected. The problem is with the analog audio output port on the rear panel. There is no audio from this port. It is marked as "Not plugged in" on the sound control panel even though the audio cable is plugged in as usual. The system is a HTPC running Windows 7. I use this analog audio port extensively so I need it to function. I have installed the latest NVIDIA driver. I am out of ideas. Does anyone have a suggestion? If I can't get it working I will remove the GT1030 and return to the motherboard graphics hardware unfortunately. I will lose then lose the ability to get H.265 hardware acceleration.

Did you set Analog output as default ?

Yes, I tried that and many other things. I had performed a system image backup before I started any of this thinking that this would be my ace in the hole if everything else failed. After trying many different things I finally did a system image restore which should have put everything back in its original state before any modifications.

After doing the system image restore I still have the same problem; I get the "device not plugged in" message! This problem was not present when I made the system image backup. Now I am really mystified.
