hey all,

I sometimes look at the info on other people's account in the forums and it has come to my attention that some of these people have been members of Tom's Hardware since 1970. However, i found out that Tom's Hardware has only been running since 1996. Is that a glitch or is Tom's Hardware really that old?

It's a problem that has existed since there was a change of forum software years ago. 1/1/1970 is the Unix epoch time.

Just as clarification: only people who joined before the changeover will have this problem. If you joined after your join date should be correct.

Is that also why when I post at 5 pm US- east time, it posts at around 11 am?

My timestamps are correct, but I'm not sure how the timezones are determined for you. It's probably based on IP address.

Or it could be that this site is trapped in some kind of temporal vortex,
who knows somethings just cant be explained with this site which makes it have more incommon with the twlight zone, so I guess its unique !
