Just got my card back from rma. R9 280xoc 3g gigabyte, and when I install the card it will boot. After i install the latest drivers and restart I am not able to boot windows and have to reboot into safe mode.

Biostar a960g
Corsiar 650w
8gigs ddr3 1600 samsung
Seagate 250gbhdd 2010 I believe.

From what I can tell that monitor does not have an HDMI input. All the sites say only DVI-D and VGA.
Have you downloaded the driver for the the display? http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/dell-s2316m-monitor/drivers

also use the DVI cable only with out any adapters.

After 2 months of returning faulty cards to gigabyte. I received my 5th yes 5th r9280x oc this time revision 3. The cards apparently have a tendency to overheat and fail.
Even after gigabyte tested them, they failed after actual use around 20 minutes to an hour.
I benchmark ed and stressed the 5th rma card and it works great.
This had nothing to do with monitor or cables.

It was a faulty batch of r9280x oc cards.
