I can count on my left index finger the number of people who are going to change phone buying decisions because the iPhone 4 didn't score as high in javascript tests as the Nexus One did. In fact I an count without using any hands at all because I don't need hands to count to zero.

Everyone here "laughing" is delusional because no one really cares. No one is going to look at these benchmarks and decide against the iPhone and it has nothing to do with the non-existant stereotypical idiot apple fan that you all love to talk about. No, the reason no one will give a crap is because if you pick up both phones the real world differences require a stopwatch. They require a stopwatch because they aren't noticeable in every day use.

People are still going to buy the phone they like using the best. So you Android fanboys can keep singing anti-Apple chants and doing your best to look like a bunch of idiots but it isn't doing a damn thing. This is worthless. When it comes time for me to buy a new phone in a month or so javascript performance is going to be absent from the list of things I will be looking for and anyone who has crap tests like this high on their lists will be sorely disappointed with their phone choice.

[citation][nom]ericburnby[/nom]HahahhahahhahhaaaOne single benchmark and people are ready to claim victory? Is this what other smartphone companies are now going to do? Run meaningless tests so they can come up with a numerical figure claiming their phones superiority to the iPhone? Why don't we talk about sales numbers? I know you Appple haters (and Apple smartphone competititors) must HATE the fact Apple is selling iPhones in quantities you could only dream of.The smartphone market is only so big, and every iPhone sold is another lost potential sale for everyone else. How soon before Apple completely dominates the smartphone market?[/citation]

Actually...in terms of pure economics? eternity. its a competitive open market. Apple doesn't even have a monopoly. there will always be competitors for apple, even if it has a vast majority of the market share. Assuming apple's success continues to rise, they will just become another microsoft. with millions of phones out there as a potential target, more and more viruses, worms and spyware will clutter apple products until they become as convoluted as windows systems are. they will lose their appeal and another force will step in to take their glory. sorry, but thats the way the world works, pal.

P.S. if i were an A$$hole i could write an iphone virus myself. 😉

hahaha iphone thay look prety but thay arent what thay ment to bee lolz

im planing to buy Nexus one hhehehe so good to be back!

I'm an android user, and so I read about android phones. I enjoy the comments that support me and my feelings towards apple. However, as I suggest to Fox news advocates that they watch CNN every once in a while. I went to that AWFUL website some fanboi above posted (http://www.roughlydrafted.com/2010 [...] headlines/) and it is just drivel.

I don't think fanbois, who are writing articles for millions of other fanbois to read, have ever used an android. Or if they had, it was with utter closed-mindedness disgust.

I don't care about sales, I don't care about OS fractionalization, I don't care about anything much. I want to make calls all the time to my loved ones. I want to text. I want to search the internet. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

I use the speech to text options on EVERYTHING. I would doubt that an android programmer uses it more than me. It's just simply amazing.

Someone at my bar asks for directions, I have it up and running before iPhone users even pull out their phones.

I could go on and on, but in reality, I do think that if the iPhone was on every carrier, it would be a nice tight race with both teams succeeding in areas, probably finding niche customers and excelling in their niches. Instead iPhone is stifled to AT&T and it clearly android FTW.

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]Fair play, they did say that in the post above and coutered it with the followingSo even with the Arkensaw Chuggabug that is Flash, which supposedless is slower than an oiltanker running through hot tar, it still beat the iPhone for speed. When it worked on a level playing field and turned Flash off, guess what?Faster. In real world use.Android is faster than iPhone.Period.[/citation]

A pity that phones running Android sells more than the iPhone then...
