[citation][nom]cumi2k4[/nom]ok spec but i think they blew it on the 512MB of RAM[/citation]

It's Chinese. They had to cut corners somewhere, and you get what you pay for. Admittedly, many other smart phones from other manufacturers are built in China, but those are designed with cost not being the most important factor. Chinese companies are good at lowering the cost of similar given item, but almost always because they use cheaper materials to build it. In this case, I'd be willing to guess the display is a below average LCD, obviously the ram is pretty low (my old T-Bolt has 768MB), the camera sensor will be pretty basic, and I'd be truly afraid of the battery. Having gotten financially burned by cheaper chinese batteries in the past, I don't have much hope for the one in this device, and I most certainly wouldn't keep it in my pocket.

I can't understand why anyone would want to buy this phone unless it was EXTREMELY cheap/free. Any mid-line phones from other reputable Android handset makers are easily affordable or free with contract. Unless China somehow bans phones made by Samsung, LG, HTC, Nokia, Sony, etc. I don't see how this phone would bring profit to ZTE. If I had to pick a phone made by a company in China I would go with Huawei.

I have a white ZTE Blade and its quite durable - not to mention upgraded to Jelly Bean (with practically all functionality).

But... I have a beef with ZTE going stingy on the RAM.

Either way, ZTE is probably one of those firms that prices their phones closer to the actual $ of production (+ the profit margins).

The specs listed in the article are the specs for the previous model. Nowhere in the article are there specs for the upcoming model, so how could you possibly be disappointed if you don't even know anything about it?
