Question Android to Macmini

For over two weeks I have been trying to transfer photo's from my summing J7 to my Macmini OS 10.13.3 I have tried every help suggestion sent to me from, yahoo,
Sansumg, Mac help, Adroid and google to no avail. I have down loaded Android and Smart switch. Had friends give it a try with no results. Most suggestions from
the web have me bring up settings I don't have. This has to be so simple, everyone tells me, but I cannot do. Thanks

When you plug your phone into any computer, phone will ask you whether you want to allow that computer access to your phone. From now on, your phone is no different than a USB flash drive, and will appear as such on your computer.

So, try first plugging ordinary flash disk into your Mac. And try plugging your phone into a Windows laptop/desktop.

As a last resort: Sync your phone with your Google drive, and download photos from there.
