Annoying vertical scanlines???

Hi every expert here. I just bought a new NEC MultiSync V730 monitor. But I am having an annoying problem with this stupid monitor. I dont know why there are all slight and annoying thin vertical scanlines over my monitor. So whenever I see the monitor in close-up I will notice those scanlines. What's wrong ? I am using res 1124*768 @75Hz. GF2MX , Duron 1G, 512 DDR2700 ram.....

How can I get rid of the scanlines?

Vertical, as in the lines go from top to bottom?

yes! from the top to the bottom. i hv tried to set the resolution and everything I can try. i found out that the 'vertical scanlines' are produced because there are being streched. they will onli 'dissapear' or 'not so obvious' when i change the monitor setting to something like widescreen. in that case u wont see the scanlines but how can i work in the 'widescreen' mode? can u all get the points? i know it is a bit confusing....:<

I'm not sure. Does this happen at all resolutions and refresh rates?

yes! it does happen to all resolution and refresh rate. but in low res it is just not so obvious or i can say that the scanlines will now become tiny dots....
