I can't seem to boot my system. I have the following:
Core 2 Duo E6600 with included heatsink
X1950 Pro ASUS Video Card
DDR2 800 Patriot Memory
Two Different Power Supplies

When I boot without the graphics card, it makes some crazy beeps. Could be 1 long, 2 short which would indicate monitor or display card error, but it's a little more wild then that, can't really make sense of it.

When I boot with the video card I get continuous long beeps, which indicates a DRAM error. I've tried just putting in one stick at a time, but I seem to get the same problem (pretty sure I've tried both sticks with and without the graphics card. Any ideas?

This is a long shot...but maybe the RAM on your card is defective(or just your card in general)....

Try a different card if you can.

Hi, I set up my new DS3 last night, and had some beeping woes too. Turns out I had forgotten to put the molex power connector back onto the graphics card. I seem to always forget some connector when setting up a new system. I sent a motherboard back once having forgotten to attach the 4 pin CPU power connector to the top left of the motherboard too, so check it's not that too! Jazzy.

Thanks guys, I think it was actually the molex power connector to the graphics card. I was messing around with two power supplies, trying to see if that was the problem, and I believe I connected the power connector from the power supply I was no longer using. Anyway, systems seems to get into BIOS fine now, I hope it will be smooth sailing from here.

Thanks again guys.
